PAYMENT

Unless a prior agreement has been made with StarPC, goods will not be shipped until FULL PAYMENT is received. Below are the acceptable payment methods and their condition of use.

The goods will be sent out once the clear funds is shown in our account. In the payee field, please use Order Number as the reference.

Please be aware if we do not receive payment within 48 hours of order being placed, we will be forced to cancel your order. 

Credit Card & Debit Card Surcharges 

We accept Credit Card & Debit Card payment made by all types of Visa and MasterCard issued by banks and other institutions with NO additional surcharges.

We account for all fees paid included in the purchase price, therefore you do not have to account for any extra fees. 

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Warranty

StarPC does NOT provide a B2B (Business to business) warranty unless specified.

Without limiting any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act: Individual components are supplied with manufacturers warranty, usually 1 year unless otherwise specified.

All standard builds built by StarPC will have a three year warranty with exception to custom water-cooling loop computers, which will have two years.

Tampering or similar unauthorized use voids the warranty.

Build warranty only subject to care, does not cover damage caused by misuse, failure to keep product in a clean condition, change in water colour, product modification, computer viruses, accident, power surge or act of god.

Data loss is not covered under our warranties, so we recommend that you undertake regular back ups on a separate storage medium.

We are not liable for any “loss of business” caused by components failing, if a computer does fail, we suggest having a back up. Please be aware Consumer Guarantees Act does not cover Business to Business transactions unless other terms are agreed.

*Something to note: recently some manufactures state overclocking certain components that have been sold with the ability to do so, will void their warranties. This includes XMP profiles, graphics cards “one-click” overclocking, including overclocking “unlocked” CPUs* 

The above statement does not apply to StarPC computers that we have overclocked, we keep a record of all overclocking applied and stay within safe limits. You the customer are still covered and we will replace any components that have failed as long as previously mentioned terms and conditions are followed.

Change of Mind and Return of Faulty goods

Return of Faulty goods

Without limiting any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act, if your product is faulty or has stopped working as intended and is still within the warranty period specified when you purchased your product, StarPC will repair or replace your product or issue a refund where a suitable replacement is not available.

In order to repair, replace or issue a credit / refund for your faulty product, it will need to be returned in order to test and confirm that it is faulty. You may also be able to contact the manufacturer directly to arrange a repair/replacement. Returns of this nature can be made any time within the warranty period.

If you return a product to us that is not faulty, you will be liable for a testing fee and all freight charges to return the product to you. Without limiting any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act: Faulty goods will be subject to the normal return procedures for the specific brand being returned, freight charges
will not be credited.

If you purchased online, we will arrange for collection of your incorrectly supplied/damaged goods. This will be at our cost where such charges are our responsibility under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Availiabilty or Cancellation:

All orders are subject to the availability of products at our suppliers location. If for any reason a product is not available, the seller will endeavour to notify the non-availability on this website. StarPC may revise the range of products, price or the specification of any product at any time and without notice to the buyer.

Cancellation of orders: Where products are listed on StarPC’s website with an incorrect price or with incorrect information, we reserves the right to cancel the buyers order (regardless of whether the buyer has made payment for that order). Where the buyer has already made payment for an order that is subsequently cancelled by StarPC, the buyer will receive a full refund.

StarPC may cancel the buyer’s order any time prior to our order confirmation. Any variation, waiver or cancellation of the buyer’s order shall have no effect unless accepted in writing by StarPC. Where StarPC accepts cancellation by the buyer, the buyer will be liable to a handling charge of up to 25% of the price. There is no charge if order was called to be cancelled by StarPC, due to lack of stock.

Where the buyer and StarPC agree to a variation in the quantity of the goods, the goods shall be priced either at the rate applicable to the original quantity or the revised quantity at the absolute discretion of StarPC

DELIVERY

We will process your order within 1 business day following payment in cleared funds.

All prices and delivery charges within New Zealand are inclusive of New Zealand Goods and Services Tax at the rate of 15%.

Payment by online banking cannot be checked until the next business day.

We will send you an email notifying you when your order has been shipped. Due to COVID-19 our couriers are very busy, please allow up to 2 to 5 business days for delivery domestically.

In same cases you may receive your goods on a Saturday (this service is at no extra cost).

If you have not received your goods within 7 business days please contact us.

Stock, Shortages, Damages and Loss in Transit.

StarPC store is online only and does not hold any stock instore. Every effort has been made to provide accurate and up-to-date information. Prices, availability and specifications subject to change without notice.

Occasionally your item may not be in stock, in which case you will receive a full refund (including any shipping paid) or the option to acquire item on back-order.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Liability for shortages in the quantity of goods delivered is limited to making up the shortages. 

No claim for shortages in quantity will be allowed unless the customer gives notification of the shortage in writing within 7 days of the delivery and provides a reasonable opportunity for StarPC to investigate the claim. Goods leaving the vendors premises are adequately packed. Claims for damage or loss in transit must be made against the carrier in the prescribed manner, prior to acknowledging delivery to the carrier the buyer must ensure that the complete consignment as per the carrier’s note has been received. Should there be a shortage or visible damage to outer packaging the carrier’s note must be endorsed accordingly. Within 7 days of receipt of consignment the buyer must ensure that all goods received are in good order and condition. No claims will be considered after 7 days of receipt of goods. 

We will arrange for collection of your incorrectly supplied/damaged goods. This will be at our cost where such charges are our responsibility under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

While no liability for goods damaged or lost in transit will be accepted by the StarPC after 7 days, details of any claim should be advised to StarPC.
